What should you look for when you buy from an online store?

* Is the site secure? How do you tell if it is secure? TIMCO offers an SSL certificate and we proudly display our certifications from Network Solutions, Up Front and Buy Safe.

* Make sure it is not abandoned or out of date, look for the date at the bottom of the page, it should be this year. TIMCO updates their web page EVERY day.

* Is the store real, or just a PO box? Without a real physical location you could hit snags in warranty issues, or worse, fighting fraud. TIMCO has a real store and warehouse that is open every day. TIMCO belongs to local and national organizations, are a part of our community and we will still be here tomorrow!

* Can you tell who you are dealing with? You want to do business with people, not anonymous dropshippers. Can you communicate easily before you buy? TIMCO answers all emails quickly, we provide a toll free 800 number. We won't make you pay for the call to talk to us! Every email we send includes the owners cell phone number so you can feel confident about TIMCO.

* Does the website look professional and well maintained? Some sellers might try to fool you into thinking you are buying from the manufacturer by creating an identical site to the factory. We've even been fooled by look a likes on the internet! Most manufacturers won't sell directly to a consumer. If you get to a "look alike", ask yourself why they won't tell you who they are? How will you find them if they shut down tomorrow? TIMCO will never represent ourselves as the manufacturer, we are TIMCO. We are proud of who we are. *Do they only take Paypal? Any seller can get a Paypal account, accepting credit cards is a little harder. 

*After the sale...Did you get a follow up email confirming your purchase? Did you get a copy of your invoice in the mail? Did you get your credit card receipt? Do the names on your credit card charge, your invoice and credit card receipt all match up? Is the companies address and phone number printed clearly on all three? These are all signs of good business!
