Things to ask a prospective installer

*Have you installed this type of fence before? All fences are not created equal! Many installers might try to get your business by being dishonest and saying they have put in a type of fence when they haven't. In 2010, almost 30% of TIMCO's business came from fixing installation jobs from other installers.

*Do you have references? CAN I TALK TO THOSE PEOPLE? That is the most important question. Find out if the customers were happy and if the installers came back for warranty work and fixed any issues the customers had.

*Do you have insurance? Can I see proof? TIMCO knows that the unexpected could happen, especially working around animals with heavy equipment. We carry a $1,000,000.00 policy that protects each and every job site we work on.

*Will you install to the manufacturers recommended warranty instructions? TIMCO adheres to all of the manufacturers recommendations, it's trouble when the installers first words are "we do it different and here is why..." TIMCO is not looking for the easy way, we do it the right way. We know that if push ever comes to shove for you to get a warranty repair and you have not followed recommendations from the manufacturer, you will be out of luck. Will that installer buy you a new fence? We doubt it.

*Are the manufacturers familiar with your installations? Do they feel comfortable with you? Some manufacturers even use photos we provide in their marketing! Others recommend us, and we welcome you to call any fence company we rep for and ask about us!

*How does this installer accept payment? If they want 100% up front, run the other way. TIMCO takes a deposit that covers materials and a deposit on labor to begin work. TIMCO collects the balance when the customer is happy with their installation. TIMCO also accepts credit cards, we know you want the extra protection and payment flexibility.
